April in a treatball

Hello Furiends,

It's the Bella here.  I've got some very happy news to share.

April 10, 2013 was my 9th Gotcha Day.  Whoop! Whoop!

Nine years ago I was just a hairless demodectic mange covered squirt that some irresponsible human brought into this world and abandoned.  That's ok because I forgive them.  If they hadn't abandoned me then I would have been trapped in a horrible life furever.  I'm thankful my Mom and Dad found me and adopted me and gave me such a nice loving, fun, safe, adventure filled home.  I had a great mentor and big sis Emma Bo Bemma.  She taught me all about life and being a good dog.  Being the larger than life little dog that I am I didn't always follow Emma's mellow and laid back ways.  That's ok because I'm me and added some of my own personality to the mix.  I make sure to keep Mom and Dad on their toes. If it wasn't for me they would be plump squishy couch potatoes.  I give them reason to play and romp and walk and go to dog events.  I know they love it :)  I know they love me to the moon and back.....they said so :)

For your viewing pleasure here are some very adorable baby photos of a very cute brindle puppy, Me.  Just in case you couldn't guess ;)

Wow, I think that was almost cuteness overload!  Take a minute to recover.  I know it's a ton of adorableness to take in all at once.

We went for walks.

Mom even played hookie on my Bella Day and we went for a walk in the rain and did some urban agility.  Check out my awesome stability and coordination.

I was hoping we could go off roading and explore some unpaved trails, but Mom said she wasn't interested in picking blood sucking ticks off my beautiful brindle furs.

So we stayed on the paved trail hoping to go home bug free.

We had Bella Day cake.

 We went for more walks.

Out on our walk we passed some other people out enjoying the nice rare sunshine.  The one girl says "Ohhhh dog as she passes by Dad and Sweet Pea."  then she says "Ohhhh another dog.  That one's prettier!" as she passes by ME.  Really, was there any doubt?  Thank you ma'am for making it official.

Dad on the other hand did not think it was very nice and told Sweet Pea not to listen to the crazy lady.  He told Sweet Pea she is pretty too.

What I'm still wondering is where are the toys??????????????????  It's not like I have any to play with.  I think I need more toys.  A dog can never have too many toys.  Right?

(note from Mom: over flowing needs cleaned out mound of toys.  Does she really need more? The truth of it is you can't even see all of the toys as they wouldn't fit in the camera frame.)

That is what has been happening in the Bella & Sweet Pea house during the month of April.

Lots of Licks,
Bella

Sunday Strolling and Wardrobe Malfunctions

First I want to thank everyone for playing along with our previous nose post.  You are all correct.  The first nose is Sweet Pea and my cute little princess nose is the second one.  What we are doing with our lovely sniffers is taking a nose work class.  I don't have any pictures to share because Mom thought the flash might distract us while we are learning to search.  We did get some videos of our searches yesterday so maybe I can get one of those posted soon.

Today it is nice spring weather and the snow is melting all around us so we had to find some place to walk with sidewalks so as not to get our undercarriage all covered in mud.  With the bright beautiful sky providing some good light for a photography session I gave in and posed for a quick a photo shoot.
Hurry up Mom I see something interesting
Mom always tells me I'm so gorgeous she wishes she could hug me in two and make more of me.  If she did that I'd have to share our snuggles and hugs.  Not sure I'm fond of that idea.

Dad wouldn't let Sweet Pea pose for her photo shoot because she was all kinds of mismatched.  I have no idea what's up with her wardrobe malfunction but it's embarrassing.
If you look closely you will see she is wearing 3 different patterns.  Her leash is Crazy Daisy from Lupine.

Her harness is bluebird from Dog Supplies.com  to go with the Crazy Daisy leash because the matching harness doesn't come in that huge rolly polly of a size.

And her collar is Flower Power by Yellow Dog Design.

Me on the other hand I'm perfectly coordinated in my Tiff Monkey collar/leash and a coordinating harness.  I think the Mom has some obsession with making the Pea look silly and embarrassing 3 of the 4 of us on walks.

See what happened is Mom dressed Sweet Pea yesterday in her new Yellow Dog Flower Power collar, harness and leash for our nose work class.  She wanted her to look all pretty and Springy.  Then when we went for a walk today Mom picked up the other harness and leash laying by the door.  Then notices after we're out.

So imagine the horror when Mom wants to take Sweet Pea's picture in front of this yarn art.  Even Dad said Pea doesn't want to because she clashed enough already, but Mom wasn't taking No for an answer.

Poor Pea I think she's mortified....look at her eyes.  Oh, the humiliation.  The things we endure to entertain our humans.  I hope Mom knows she owes the Pea big time for this one.

Mom said "Oh, Bella will you please sit in front of this yarn art for me.  I would like to have a picture of two of the things I really enjoy you and pretty colors."  I saw lots of pinks in there so I said it's ok.  It'll blend with my Monkey wear let's do it.

Can you guess?

Hello Evfurryone!

I have two little games for all my blog friends to play.  Sweet Pea and I will be starting a new 6 week adventure next weekend.  Can anyone guess what that will be?

Here is your hint:

Who can correctly match the noses with the cute faces they belong too. Let me we warn you MY beautiful Princess nose would never look good on the Jester Pea. I would be mortified to be caught with that nose.

Fond Memory Friday ~ Ice Sculptures

There have been lots of adventures and stories we have been wanting to share with all our friends, but unfortunately sometimes we just didn't ever get around to doing it.

Today's post is a Fond Memory with Emma from the first Friday in February of 2012. Emma and Mom went out to our communities First Friday event. The theme for this one was ice sculptures. They walked around downtown admiring the creative talent of all the ice carvers.

Of course, the Queen Emma drew a huge amount of attention, pets, and stares as no one seems to have ever seen a doggie quiet like her. She sure was an amazing and beautiful friend. We had been inseparable since my family adopted me. She was my big Sis and taught me everything I know. She was also my protector and safety blankie. I took her everywhere with me.

I think I should have went with Emma this time to be her safety blankie.
Looks like there was a shih tzu giving her the evil eyes.

I'm sure she was fine. Everyone human and doggie loved my big sis Emma. She was a very sweet and gentle soul.

Licks,
Bella

PeeS: STUPID blogger didn't post this one on time either.  So much for that idea.
