Vacation 2011 ~ On our Way to the Outer Banks, NC

Yeah!  Vacation officially kicked off Saturday November 5, 2011.  Let me tell you that after 365 days I forgot how much I do not like really long car rides.

Are we there yet?

What???  How many MORE hours????

Let me know when we get there

Zzzzzzzzz

Mom and Dad thought they would drive all the way to Tennessee in one day.  I was exhausted!  They said "Oh, Emma we're sorry.  We know really long car rides make you stressed.   We will try and divide it up for you.  I really didn't appreciate them telling me if I were at home I wouldn't be doing anything but laying around so what's the difference.  These seats just aren't the same as my couch.  It's taken years of hard work to get my couch to fit my body so perfectly.

My dinner time was 5:00 p.m.

May I please have a tastey topper, it's a bit dry

Where's mine?

No tastey topper, No eatey

Why is she being hand fed? Hmm, little princess

Good night

Sweet Dreams

Pee S.  We would like to thank Kodak, Tennessee Motel 6 for allowing us to stay there for the 3rd year.  The rooms are clean, quiet and the staff is very friendly.  We even have "our" room that we like to get each year.

Jack Russell Love or Loath? He's Cute But He Sets the Bar High

I come across these videos on You Tube and I'm not sure if I'm amazed or perturbed. If these videos get out and the humans get some crazy idea that all doggies should do these amazing "tricks" or should I say peasant labor then we are all in trouble. My mom has already watched these videos a couple times each and she even showed them to my dad. I heard her say maybe she should spend more time training with us and then we could do cool tricks like that. What is going on here? By the way I know plenty of tricks like sit, down, shake, high five, etc... I'm already being taken to training classes. Yes, I know I'm not required to participate I've been able to observe and wiggle in the grass but what if this just keeps escalating and before you know it I'll have to work. Work !!! Ugh !!! I thought the humans were supposed to make the tea and toast, do the laundry and shopping, and take care of us. What is this world coming to.

Here are the videos if you wanna see what's got my fur all twisted.

Ok. I must admit Jesse is one cute Jack Russell Terrier.  He's smart, bouncy, enjoys yummy treats, and I think I would enjoy bouncing and romping with this little guy. (Shhh, don't tell my boyfriend - the chihuahua neighbor)  You can tell Jesse really enjoys everything he is doing.  He looks so happy and after a trick well done he's looking for his reward.  He's got a lot of talent and I would love to see  Bella learn all these cool tricks too.  I'm sure she could do them easy :)  This is yet another great example of how you don't have to use any force or physical manipulation on us doggies for us to do what you would like.  All you have to do is ask kindly and reward generously and appropriately.  Everyone deserves a paycheck for a job well done.

I am admiring his talent and his handsomeness and I'm torn between adoring him and wishing he could be my neighbor too and loathing him for causing my Mom to wanna teach us new things.  I like getting all the yummy treats when learning new things but I'd rather she just hand them to me because I'm so amazingly beautiful....which has worked very well for me so far and it's so much easier that way.  I don't confused because I can do amazingly beautiful all day ;)
